HARRISBURG, July 7 – Wilson Borough today was awarded a $306,000 state grant to modernize the traffic signal at Butler Street and Freemansburg Avenue/South 18th Street/Palmer Street, announced state Rep. Robert Freeman.
“It’s encouraging to see this sizable investment from the state that will provide improved traffic flow and safety for people traveling at this difficult intersection in Wilson Borough,” said Freeman, D-Northampton.
The grant was part of $15.6 million awarded to support traffic signal upgrades, increasing mobility and efficiency across the state through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s “Green Light-Go” program.
