Rep. Dan B. Frankel March 4, 2020 | 2:53 PM
PITTSBURGH, March 4 – Today, state Rep. Dan Frankel announced that several local historical organizations were selected to receive state grants to assist with their continuing operations.
“Today we continued to invest in our shared cultural and historical heritage, to ensure that we not only preserve our past, but continue to educate the next generation,” Frankel said. “Our cultural institutions are part of what makes our city great, and I have and will continue to support them whenever possible.”
The grants awarded today include $40,000 for the Carnegie Institute, and more than $21,000 for Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall.
Awarded through the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the grants provide general operating support to museums and historical societies across Pennsylvania.
