SCRANTON, April 19 – Area senior citizens are invited to join state Rep. Marty Flynn and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office for a Senior Crime Prevention seminar on May 13.
"This is a great opportunity to learn how to avoid scams relating to charities, lotteries, home improvement issues and much more," said Flynn, D-Lackawanna. "A discussion will also take place regarding phone call solicitations, 'free' items received in the mail and about people who knock on your door offering a bargain service or item."
The event will begin at 10 a.m. May 13 at St. Joseph’s Hall at Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., Scranton.
