Flynn: Over $700K to Lackawanna County in crime and delinquency grants

SCRANTON, Dec. 9 – State Rep. Marty Flynn, D-Lackawanna, was instrumental in advocating for $729K in grants from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency that were awarded today.

“The funding awards will help support critical work by our local organizations to provide assistance to residents here in Lackawanna County,” Flynn said.

The grants are as follows:

  • $316,757 to RASA/VOJO Ongoing Services.
  • $198,581 to Adult Probation Services.
  • $125,000 to Women's Resources Center.
  • $47,000 to Children's Advocacy Center.
  • $33,057 to Domestic and Sexual Violence.
  • $14,169 to Jessup Police.
  • $8,555 to Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office for body-worn cameras.
