Flynn reminds registered medical professionals of license renewal extension to Aug. 28 in response to the COVID-19 outbreak

SCRANTON, July 29 – State Rep. Marty Flynn, D-Lackawanna, is informing registered nurses, clinical nurse specialists, certified registered nurse practitioners and prescriptive authorities that an extension has been granted for license renewal until Aug. 28 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Flynn said Gov. Tom Wolf extended the deadline because licensees were having difficulty meeting the July 29 deadline.

“This will be a final extension and licensees who are due for license renewal are urged to apply for renewal as soon as possible because of the backlog of processing,” Flynn said.

Flynn said the practical nurse license renewal will be extended from June 30 to Sept. 28.
