Flynn likes state budget’s focus on workforce development, education

HARRISBURG, Feb. 5 – State Rep. Marty Flynn offered the following statement in response to Gov. Tom Wolf’s 2019-20 budget plan, which was unveiled today.

“The governor revealed an ambitious proposal that is properly focused on making our workforce development programs better, investing in education from kindergarten through college, and continuing to attract and retain businesses that offer family-sustaining jobs.

“As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I will be able to get an in-depth look at how the overall spending plan would affect each department’s budget during three weeks of public hearings at the state Capitol. I look forward to learning more about the governor’s budget and how it will improve the lives of people in the Scranton area,” Flynn said.
