Delloso announces $550,000 in state funding to improve conditions for drivers & pedestrians

SHARON HILL, Feb. 25 – State Rep. David M. Delloso today announced state funding totaling $550,000 for transportation safety projects in the boroughs of Folcroft and Sharon Hill.

The grants were awarded through the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Multimodal Transportation Fund, which finances projects to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of Pennsylvania.

The projects funded in the 162nd Legislative District are:

  • $400,000 for Folcroft Borough to upgrade street lighting for pedestrian safety on 37 streets throughout the borough.
  • $150,000 for Sharon Hill Borough to resurface driveways and alleys in the borough.

“Many Sharon Hill residents have experienced significant inconvenience, including car damage, when driving on alleys and shared driveways. The latter are usually shared by several properties and often prohibitively expensive for homeowners to repave,” Delloso said. “I’m glad I get to advocate for these commonwealth-funded upgrades and repairs through my position. Strong communities are built on well-maintained infrastructure that supports everyone—whether you’re walking to school, biking to work, or running errands in your car.”
