DeLuca announces in-person polling locations for June 2 primary election
HARRISBURG, May 7 – State Rep. Tony DeLuca, D-Allegheny, on Thursday announced the locations of the only in-person polling sites in the 32nd Legislative District for the June 2 primary election.
The Penn Hills’ polling location will be at the Penn Hills Library, 1037 Stotler Road; the Verona polling station will be located at the Verona Borough Building, 730 E. Railroad Ave.; The Plum location will be at Plum Senior High School, 990 Elicker Road; The Blawnox voting location will be at its Firehall, 376 Freeport Road; and O’Hara’s polling location has yet to be determined.
“Numerous locations across the district were investigated as key locations prior to these sites being selected, and I was happy to confirm the polling locations for the June 2 primary before the official announcement was made” DeLuca said. “Many factors went into choosing the best locations, including central location, ample parking, familiarity with the building, and room configuration to afford proper social distancing and protection for workers and voters.”
“Individuals who choose to vote in-person will go to the polling place in the community where they legally reside, not according to one's Zip code. For example, if you live in Penn Hills, even though you have a 15147 Zip code, you will vote at the Penn Hills Library. Only voters who reside in the borough of Verona will vote at that town's borough Building,” DeLuca added.
DeLuca said all polling locations will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. Residents have until May 18 to register to vote.
