Spring Egg Hunts; Apprentice Prep with the Rep April 5; Philly Spring Cleanup April 7

Spring Egg Hunts

I hosted several spring egg hunts last week across the district. It was great to see so many children out and playing at Ziehler Playground. I also held similar events at McIlvain Playground and the Houseman Recreation Center.

15th Police District’s 2017 Officer of the Year Awards

Congratulations to the recipients of this year’s Philadelphia 15th Police District’s Officer of the Year Awards. Officers and community partners were honored for contributing countless hours toward keeping our community safe.

Thank you to all of the award recipients for their work and service in our neighborhoods.

Apprentice Prep with the Rep

My final Apprentice Prep with the Rep information session has been rescheduled for this Thursday, April 5 at 6 p.m. in my district office at 4667 Paul St., Philadelphia, 19124. Come meet representatives from local building trade unions and learn how to take your first step into a new union career.

Philly Spring Cleanup

The Annual Philly Spring Cleanup is Saturday, April 7 and there are lots of opportunities to get out and get involved in our community. I invite you to join me, the North 5th Street Revitalization Project and Councilwoman Cherelle Parker for a cleanup on North 5th Street in Olney. You could also volunteer with the Friends of Overington Park to clean up and prepare the park for the warmer weather or help the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership clean up the Tacony Creek Park. For more information about these events, watch for updates on my social media or call my office.
