Apprentice Prep with the Rep

My third Apprentice Prep with the Rep workshop will be held this Thursday, March 15th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Are you interested in learning more about what it takes to become an apprentice in the building trades unions? I’ll have information from many local unions on hand and representatives from the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades will be present to discuss their union’s apprenticeship program in further detail.

Senior Apartments at St. Barts will be opening soon!

New Courtland Senior Services will soon be opening their new apartments at St. Barts in Wissinoming. These new units mean more affordable senior living options in our community. They will also host New Courtland’s LIFE program, which focuses on providing holistic and comprehensive care for seniors. I was able to tour the facility last week, and I am excited to see the product of years of work and advocacy from both New Courtland and the state to help fund and create this project. This housing is desperately needed to help our district’s senior population.

Town Hall at Second Baptist Church

I hosted a Town Hall event at Second Baptist Church last week. Despite the threat of severe weather, a crowd came out to discuss their community concerns. It was great to have a chance to share my work and speak on what we can all do to help move our neighborhood forward, together. Be on the lookout for information about upcoming spring cleanup events that my office will help organize.
