Dawkins announces $54,000 grant for his district
HARRISBURG, Oct. 31 – State Rep. Jason Dawkins, D-Phila., announced that the Frankford Community Development Corp. is receiving a Local Share Account grant via the Department of Community and Economic Development.
The corporation will use the $54,610 grant to help renovate a vacant property at 4663 Paul St. that became blighted following a fire several years ago.
“The Frankford Community Development Corporation is always championing to beautify and improve the community. This grant provides the opportunity to build on those goals for the betterment of the neighborhood and its citizens,” Dawkins said. “It is always my privilege and honor to advocate to bring funding to the district and I will continue to be an advocate for more state dollars in the future.”
LSA funds are used for economic development, neighborhood revitalization, community improvement and public interest projects in the City of Philadelphia.
