Cruz to discuss updated liquor laws at town hall meeting
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 18 – State Rep. Angel Cruz, D-Phila., announced today that he will hold a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Juniata Boys and Girls Club, 1001 E. Cayuga St. in Philadelphia to discuss information about the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
Specifically, Cruz will welcome Sgt. Christopher Clark of the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, as well as Jeffrey Lawrence, LCB assistant director of licensing.
“Constituents always have questions about Pennsylvania’s liquor laws, from how to get a liquor license to how to transfer a liquor license to complaints about nuisance bars in the neighborhood,” Cruz said. “I’m hopeful that bringing in experts on the subject will help answer their questions and ensure they have all the information they need.”
Constituents with questions or concerns about the licensing procedure, transfer of licenses, violations, nuisance bars and private clubs with liquor licenses are invited to attend.
The event is open to the public and media coverage is invited.
