STATE COLLEGE, Aug. 29 – $75,000 in state grants will help to fun significant improvements at the University Park Airport in Centre County, state Rep. Scott Conklin, D-Centre, announced today.

These funds, which will be used to joint seal the runway, originate from the state Transportation Department’s Aviation Transportation Assistance Program, the Aviation Development Program and the Multimodal Fund. University Park Airport is among 29 airports across the state that will receive more than $13 million in state grants.

“This grant means we can continue to support jobs and other investments tied to the University Park Airport, including future economic development and growth opportunities,” Conklin said. “These grants also ensure our airports operate safely and attract more customers.”
