Comitta announces Money Matters virtual conversation in partnership with Dept. of Banking and Securities

WEST CHESTER, Oct. 6 – State Rep. Carolyn Comitta, D-Chester, announced today that she will be hosting an event in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities. “Money Matters: A Conversation about Finances,” will begin at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

“Please join me and the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls for a conversation about finances,” Comitta said. “This event is part of the ‘Investing in Women’ initiative from the department. We plan to discuss money, budgeting, banking, credit and more. We need more women to take charge of finances and feel confident in their decision-making abilities.”

“When women are equipped and positioned to handle their own finances, our community and local economy benefit greatly,” said Michelle Legaspi Sanchez, executive director of the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls. “We are proud to be working with state Representative Carolyn Comitta to bring this opportunity to women in Chester County.”

The conversation will focus on finances with special guest Becky MacDicken from the PA Department of Banking and Securities. ‘Investing in Women’ is an initiative launched in January 2020 by the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities, designed to provide essential education and research on components of banking, credit, saving and investing, while offering practical resources to women to navigate their finances and future.

Residents may register online for the log-in information to participate.
