Comitta applauds $24K in grants to preserve Chester County history
WEST CHESTER, March 4 – State Rep. Carolyn Comitta, D-Chester, today announced that the Chester County Historical Society and American Helicopter Museum and Education Center each received grants from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. The organizations received $17,441 and $6,769, respectively.
The grants are from the PHMC’s Cultural and Historical Grant program. The purpose of the program is to provide general operating support to Pennsylvania museums and official county historical societies that are not directly supported by other state agency operating support programs.
“Chester County has such a rich and fascinating history that these two organizations showcase extraordinarily,” Comitta said. “I am so proud to help bring these funds home so that all community members can learn more about Chester County’s contributions to the commonwealth and recognize the residents who helped shape our home into what it is today.”
