Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance

Beginning March 1, residents in Montgomery County can now apply for emergency rental and utility assistance. My staff and I are relieved that this window is finally open for families and individuals struggling to pay their bills.

Please read on for details on how to apply, as well as eligibility.

To qualify, you must reside in Montgomery County at the time of application and meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • One or more individuals in your household must have qualified for unemployment benefits since March 2020.
  • Incurred significant costs because of COVID-19.
  • Experienced a reduction in income because of COVID-19.

Additionally, your household must be at or below 80% of the household median income for Montgomery County (approximately $73,200).
