Ciresi celebrates $225K development grant for Limerick Community Park

ROYERSFORD, Sept. 24 – State Rep. Joe Ciresi, D-Montgomery, announced a Recreation and Conservation grant worth $225,000 for continuing development of Limerick Community Park.

Ciresi wrote to the PA Department of Conversation and Natural Resources in April in support of this grant. The funds, provided through a combination of federal and state sources, will assist Limerick Community Park in proceeding with proposed improvements.

“As one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Montgomery County, Limerick Township has growing needs that will be addressed by this expansion,” Ciresi said. “They have demonstrated a commitment to providing high-quality recreational facilities to all residents of all abilities. I am grateful to the DCNR for its support on behalf of the park and all who will enjoy it.”

The improvements at Limerick Community Park will provide access to new outdoor recreational opportunities, including a pedestrian walkway, a multi-purpose field, tennis courts, pickleball courts and bocce courts. There will also be a parking area, ADA access, stormwater management measures, landscaping, project signage and other related site improvements.

More information about this funding is available by contacting Ciresi’s office at 484-200-8265.
