Bizzarro announces $248,500 for Community College upgrades

Grant allows Erie County Community College to upgrade roofing, lighting

ERIE, Feb. 5 – A state investment for Erie County Community College will clear the way for $248,500 in upgrades, state Rep. Ryan Bizzarro announced.

“A pathway to enter the workforce is unique for every student, and we’re fortunate to have a local community college that serves learners at every stage in life,” said Bizzarro, who represents Fairview and Millcreek townships. “This state investment will allow for facility improvements, creating a safer and more welcoming environment for students from across the region.”

The funding includes $188,500 for a roofing project at the college’s West Campus and $60,000 devoted to complete electrical and lighting improvements on the Erie County Technical School campus.

The announcement builds on Bizzarro’s efforts to secure state funding for local priorities. During this legislative session, Bizzarro has helped secure more than $31.3 million in state funding for projects and services that help people in the Erie region.
