Weather forces Bizzarro's office to close Monday

Bizzarro thanks snow crews, first responders; urges others to stay home

Erie, Dec. 1 – After nearly three feet of snow has fallen in parts of Erie County, with more on the way, Representative Ryan Bizzarro has closed his district office on Peninsula Drive on Monday while officials work on the snow emergency.

“I can’t say thank you enough to the local and state crews who are out there in this storm working to keep us safe,” said Bizzarro. “We’re all being asked to stay home, and I and my staff will keep off the roads so crews can focus on urgent needs.”

Governor Josh Shapiro has signed a Proclamation of Disaster Emergency, and Pennsylvania has mobilized state resources to help local snow response efforts. Officials from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, including Secretary Mike Carroll, are on the ground locally to make sure what needs done, gets done.

“It will take more than state and local government to deal with this snow emergency,” said Bizzarro. “Please keep your neighbors in mind, check on them and lend a hand while we wait for better weather.”

If neighbors in Millcreek and Fairview Townships need help with state-related services while the office is closed, they can email Bizzarro at the link below and they will be contacted once normal office operations resume:
