ERIE, Nov. 3 – The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) has approved a low-interest loan for Scott’s Bayfront Hotel in Erie County to help expand operations, better serve their customers, and create and retain jobs.
“We have long been committed to developing the area along Erie’s Bayfront and these funds are crucial to enable us in continuing to do so,” said Nick Scott Jr., vice-president of Scott Enterprises. “We’re excited to be moving forward with continuing to renovate, expand, and improve our properties like Oliver's Beer Garden that add to what we have to offer our guests.”
PIDA approved a seven-year, $200,000 loan at a 1.5 percent reset rate for the construction and renovation of an outdoor dining and entertainment venue known as Oliver's Beer Garden. Renovations include site development, paving, landscaping, outdoor pavilion, fire pits, tiling, plumbing, and electrical work. The company will retain 55 full-time employees as a result of this project.
“Scott’s Bayfront Hotel is a business that brings so much to Erie County,” said Rep. Ryan Bizzarro (D-Erie). “I’m thrilled that they received this money to expand and improve its facilities, keep full-time employees, and continue fueling our local economy in Erie.”
