The dog days of Harrisburg are easier when there are rescue pups visiting the Capitol! The adorableness was on hand for the relaunch of the Animal Protection Caucus. Together we've made great strides to strengthen animal protection laws and I'm looking forward to getting more funding for animal fighting investigations, allowing the Attorney General to assist in the prosecution of animal cruelty cases and more. Volunteers in Fairview and Millcreek Townships tell me they want to focus on saving lives, but fundraising to keep the doors open makes it harder and harder. Grants to help with that have just been announced for eight local companies, totaling $126,000. Since 2020 I've been able to steer almost $1.3 million to fire and EMS providers in Millcreek and Fairview Townships. When private for-profit schools and their dark money backers came after Fairview and Millcreek School Districts to siphon off taxpayer dollars to make a profit off taxpayers. I stopped them. We need to protect our high-performing schools!
