Black Maternal Health on the Rise

Black Maternal Health is at a turning point, and we are bringing together the voices, expertise, and solutions to drive real change. This three-day experience will highlight the urgent need for action, elevate community-led solutions, and center the lived experiences of Black birthing people and families. Through engaging discussions, innovative tech demonstrations, policy deep dives, and powerful storytelling, we will build a collective vision for a future where Black mothers and babies thrive.

  • The Power of Black Fathers in Maternal Health – A main stage conversation on the role of dads in birth equity
  • Tech & Black Maternal Health – Live demonstrations of groundbreaking innovations
  • PA Black Maternal Health Week 2025 Opening Reception – Network with leaders and change-makers

Day 2 | Tuesday, April 15

  • Policy Hearing: Midwifery Modernization and Maternal Health Deserts – Exploring legislative solutions
  • Press Conference – Raising awareness and calling for statewide action
  • Keynote Luncheon – A powerful address from a leading voice in maternal health
  • Main Stage Panel: Pennsylvania Call to Action for Black Maternal Health

Day 3 | Wednesday, April 16

  • Center 1968 Training – Honoring history and equipping advocates for action
  • Brunch & Learn: Delivering Justice Part 2 – A discussion on birth equity and justice
  • PA Black Maternal Health Week Closing Session – Reflect, strategize, and commit to action

This is more than an event—it’s a movement. Whether you’re a birth worker, healthcare professional, policymaker, advocate, or community member, your voice is needed in this fight for Black maternal health equity.
