Davis presents $50,000 check to Clairton City School District Superintendent Dr. Ginny Hunt

Funding to be used for facility renovations in district

HARRISBURG, Dec. 7 – Today, state Rep. Austin Davis, D-Allegheny, presented a $50,000 check to Clairton City School District Superintendent Dr. Ginny Hunt.

Davis said the check was awarded by the state Department of Education.

“I was honored to facilitate this significant investment in Clairton City School District and our students,” Davis said. “It’s always a good day any time my office has a chance to play a part in investing back in our schools. It’s my hope that this funding has an immediate impact in creating a safe and healthy learning environment for the district and its students.”

Davis said the funding will be used for renovations to the district’s education center’s windowsills.
