Sophomore legislator looks forward to next year’s event

WHITE OAK, Nov. 8 – On Friday, state Rep. Austin Davis, D-Allegheny, hosted a Veterans’ Breakfast in White Oak.
Davis said the event, co-hosted by state Sen. Jim Brewster, also D-Allegheny, had a high turnout and was an overall success.
“Today’s breakfast was an opportunity to say THANK YOU,” Davis said. “As an elected official, I felt it was important to pause to honor those citizens who sacrificed so much for our community and country. I look forward to hosting future events that honor veterans.”
The Veterans’ Breakfast took place from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the White Oak American Legion, 2813 Capitol St.
In addition to breakfast, veterans had the opportunity to meet with staff members from both legislators’ offices, where they were provided with information regarding state-related resources and programs geared toward veterans.
