Rep. Shimkus fights for statewide smoking ban. Rep. Shimkus made an impassioned plea on the House floor in favor of a statewide smoking ban. Rep. Shimkus has pushed for the statewide smoking ban on behalf of West Scranton High School students who first petitioned the city of Scranton to ban smoking in all public places.
