Rep. Shimkus fights for statewide smoking ban

Rep. Shimkus made an impassioned plea on the House floor in favor of a statewide smoking ban. Rep. Shimkus has pushed for the statewide smoking ban on behalf of West Scranton High School students who first petitioned the city of Scranton to ban smoking in all public places. The House approved a House-Senate Conference Committee compromise smoking ban 163 to 38 on June 4.
