My bill to better utilize pharmacists' expertise passes House
Expanding the role of pharmacists so that they can educate patients about the effects of medications and help save them money is something 24 other states have done.  [View the bill] The House passed my bill to allow pharmacists to work with physicians in providing this service, which currently is only permitted to nursing home and hospital patients.  [Hear the story] Put simply, pharmacists know how drugs work. Expanding their scope of practice would greatly improve access to quality health care for the citizens of Pennsylvania.  [Read the news release]
