Costa annual senior fair in Ross Twp. set for Sept. 29
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 26 – State Rep. Dom Costa, D-Allegheny, will host his annual senior fair in the Ross Township Community Center from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29.
Seniors are encouraged to come out and get valuable information from numerous agencies about different programs and benefits for which they may qualify.
The event is free, with various giveaways and chances to win door prizes. Flu and pneumonia shots will be available with your Medicare Part B or insurance cards.
Some of the agencies attending are the Pennsylvania Mobile Veteran Service Van, the state Office of Consumer Advocate, Social Security, the Aging Institute of UPMC, Port Authority, Better Business Bureau, different utility companies, health care agencies, home and assisted-care agencies, and many, many more.
"Seniors are invaluable members of our community, and my aim is to see that they are connected to all the programs and initiatives that can help them remain active, engaged and healthy," Costa said. "If you, or someone you know, would benefit from a large showcase of services to improve on your golden years, please come down to this popular event."
