The amount of violence on our streets and in our schools has been discouraging but we can’t sit around and wait for problems to work themselves out.

That’s why I have worked with violence prevention groups at the local, state and national level. It is imperative that we proactively engage the community to increase safety, but also address the emotional turmoil that often results in acts of violence.

Several anti-violence groups and other organizations are committed to helping curb violence in Philadelphia by raising awareness, touting firearm safety and helping victims.
